Tulip Festival

Mothers Day weekend we went to the Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival, it was gorgeous! The gardens were huge, we were there for almost two hours and could have stayed longer easily. The day couldn't have been more perfect the sun was shining I got to walk around looking and taking pictures of gorgeous flowers while catching up, dreaming of babies and holding hands with my hubby. If you get a chance next year you must go! Next year I want to get a year membership to Thanksgiving Point events so I can take my kiddies whenever we want, wouldn't that be lovely. If you are close by (hint, hint) you should get one too, would be a fun play date.

Bountiful Baskets

A few people in our ward purchase bountiful baskets every Saturday and so when we heard how much everyone else loved them we decided to sign up and we are in love. It is so fun. If you aren't in Utah I'm almost positive they sell them in other states so you should check it out.You get different types of local fruits and vegetables every time and it is such a great deal.
There are some things we have never even seen before, like these....Fuyus
We had to google what they were and how to eat them. We just ate them like apples but you can also cook them. They were yummy,  similar to an apple. I'm so excited to search for new recipes and try new things I have never tried before. I hope it helps us eat healthier!!

Hike to Ruth Lake

Saturday Greg and I went on a little adventure. I had seen this cool hike in the newspaper and decided it would be a fun Saturday date. It was in the Uintah National Forest. We got a little lost and it ended up taking us an hour longer to get there than we thought, we almost ran out of gas, we forgot to get passes for our car when we drove into the park so when we parked we were worried we were going to get a ticket so we jogged the trail, and luckily made it back to our car before they caught us. Definitely was a struggle to finally start our hike, but it was gorgeous and the drive up was just as pretty. Our goal is to come back next summer and go camping and hike the trail again and hopefully be able to just relax and enjoy it to its fullest.

Thunder Storm

Sunday was such a great day because...
I got to go to relief society and it was wonderful. It has been forever since I was able to go and it was better then I remember.
Greg winked at me while he was up on the stand... I loved it. It made me all giddy.
And we had the most amazing thunder storm! It is so hard to get pictures of lightning I decided, takes a lot of patience, but I succeeded at getting  a couple...

She's A Married Women

Cortney & Chad got married today and everything turned out beautiful. They are a gorgeous couple and we couldn't be more happy for them. The night was perfect and we all had so much fun.
It was my first time going to a sealing since our sealing and it was so touching. It made me want to start a tradition and go do sealings with Greg on our anniversary. Since I recently got my camera I was able to practice some new skills and I think this was my favorite picture of the day....

I wish I had more time to practice figuring out my camera before their wedding cause alot of my pictures didn't turn out, but it was fun to get some practice in. Cort's photographers took me under their wing when they had down time, they were so sweet.

Happy Happy Birthday

Lately we have been doing a lot of celebrating. Last weekend we celebrated Greg's birthday by going to the cheesecake factory and a movie.

Then we had a superbowl/ birthday party at my uncles house and I made Greg his all time favorite, german chocolate cake.
Then this past weekend we were able to fly up to Utah and celebrate Gregs birthday again :) along with his sisters Birthdays Valerie {Feb 15} and Kelsey {Feb 17}. We had lots of fun. We visited Grandma Conover and brought her Valentine flowers....
We went bowling, ate at an amazing thai resturant, opened presents....

Sang Happy Birthday, blew out candles, and ate delicious pie....
We were sad to have to leave so soon.
The End!

Conference Weekend

For conference weekend Greg and I decided it would be a perfect weekend to go and visit our families since we didn't have to worry about finding subs for primary/nursery. We had tons of fun, but since we fly standby it didn't turn out to be such a great idea. Overall we missed six flights. One on Friday trying to get there and five trying to get back. On Monday morning we were at the airport from 6:30- 1:30 until we ended up making a flight. It was a long day. We loved spending time with everyone though.

We...

  • Spent some time with my Aunt Katherine and Uncle Joe

  • Saw the cutest kids...my cousins Caleb and Eliza. Ugh I wish they were mine.

  • Saw Fame with my Mother in law and Sisters

  • Celebrated Cortney's birthday!

  • Watched conference...slept through conference

  • Visited my Dad

Birthday Celebrations!

This past weekend we wanted to get out of town, to do something for my birthday. We were thinking about going to DC, or San Fran but in the end we decided to go to Salt Lake and visit my Dad and the family. Nothing beats spending time with family. It was a great trip. My brother Takoma who I haven't seen since we got married also came down from Wyoming to hang out with us. I was so excited to see him and wanted to take pictures but there is something wrong with teenagers they don't like having their picture taken. My sister Lauren is the same way I just don't get it. My dad and I tried so hard to sneak in a picture but we always just got this.......

After a million attempts to get a picture I was giving up. Then out of now where, I think he felt bad after a while, he decided to let me have one....what a nice brother :)

On Saturday we met up with Tom, Marie, Megan and Bailey and went up to Park City to go on the Alpine slide and their new coaster ride. The alpine slide has kind of been a tradition for my
birthday and like always it was SO much fun.
Later on we went out to our favorite Gelato Cafe...why is it our favorite one? B ecause they have great gelato and an amazing table that we love playing "I Spy" on....

My goal one day is to make one of our own.

They put a new piece in every week and if you can guess which piece it is you get a free gelato. My sister guessed the new item. That just tells you how often we go there. :) My little sis Mari starting pouting when we got there because someone else was at the table so we hung out until it was vacant.
After gelato we played games until about one in the morning. There was an annoying fly buzzing around and I guess...I just found out that my dad is a pro fly killer. He swatted the fly and it hit Greg on the forehead and died. :)
On Sunday we went to church, came back for linner and took a bunch of pictures before me and Greg had to head to the airport.

Being goofy.

On Monday night Greg and I went out with the Lows and Withers. We went out to eat and bowling. It was a blast. Some how I was an amazing bowler that night I must have just had a special birthday touch.
The girls and guys competed against each other and sadly the boys won so as a result the girls have to perform a belly dance or something...which I technically never agreed to because I was in the bathroom. :) ..Maybe the guys will forget. Cross your fingers. We love our friends!! Thanks guys for the great night and making me feel special!!!

On the 28th Greg planned a special day with just the two of us... it was tons of fun.
Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes!!
