easter

Our Easter was wonderful. I couldn't get over how cute my little munchkins were. We decided to forgo Easter baskets for one more year and just enjoyed getting all dressed up for church. After church we headed to Grandmas and Grandpas and had our traditional competitive easter egg hunt. I told Greg he wasn't going to be able to really participate this year cause he needed to help one of the kids and he was like heck no they are on their own. Yep, COMPETITIVE easter egg wasn't an exaggeration. Although to be fair Grandma spoils us and puts gift cards and money in the eggs. Luckily Grandma thought ahead and had a separate kid easter egg hunt this year. They absolutely loved it. Jayden clapped for himself every time he found something and put it into his bucket.

Hope you enjoyed your Easter!

Check out last years Easter when we hid the announcement that we were having twins in the eggs. Life has definitely changed since then and we love it!!

christmas

Christmas was wonderful! Holidays are always so much more fun with kids. Last year Greg and I started a tradition of creating hope lists. We each wrote a hope list last year after Christmas of things we hope would have happened by this Christmas and then put them in our stockings. We didn't see each others and so this year when we pulled out our stocking we got to read them to each other. It was so much fun. On the top of both of our lists was that we hope we have a baby and Greg actually put he hopes we have twins :). Almost all of our hopes came true throughout the year. We feel so blessed and happy!! Christmas morning we did our own thing at our house and then later went over to my dads.

Christmas eve was spent with Greg's family. We started a new birthday tradition where instead of buying each other presents we put money into a jar to save up for a big family trip and My mother in law just gave us ugly Christmas sweaters as a present. So for Christmas we all wore our sweaters :)

Kim and Chad's sweaters were on my top favorite list :)

Sad all the festivities are over, but looking forward to next year when Alta and Jayden can be more involved.

thanksgiving

Yes I'm that far behind....
I was able to scratch something off my bucket list this Thanksgiving.
Number 10: Host Thanksgiving dinner.
I think it turned out great. I had the help of my dearest Mother and Costa Rica Dad while Auntie Lauren and Greg took care of babies.
It was so cute seeing Lauren with the babies. She is definitely not a baby person but her Auntie instincts kicked in. She was so cute with them and so willing to help so I could get some sleep.

In addition to Thanksgiving we also celebrated my Costa Rica Dad's birthday by going to Red Iguana.
We had a ton of fun while everyone was here. It was horrible seeing them leave. As I'm sure any of you new mothers know. When your mom leaves it sucks. There were quite a few tears, but luckily though my mom is coming out again this next week and Lauren will hopefully come out for her spring break.

july 4th

Happy belated 4th of July!  I wish it wasn't over already. Although the fact that we are one week closer to meeting our babies is something to smile about. Over the weekend we celebrated The Chad's birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Chaddy!! We love you. Glad Cortney picked you cause you're an awesome brother in law.
We had a barbecue, played games, went to Stadium Fire...
It was a great show, I always get teary eyed. I'm so thankful for all the amazing people that are out there serving our country especially my college roomies hubby. I haven't had many of my family serve overseas and it really brought everything home to me seeing the sacrifices she and her hubby are making to protect all of us. I feel so blessed to be living in America!

Little Liam came with us to the stadium,  it was so cute watching him during the show he was completely entranced by everything. Maybe we will bring our babies next year :)

On Monday we enjoyed the fireworks in our front yard with our neighbors. I love the fourth I think besides Christmas it is one of my favorite holidays. Hope you all enjoyed yours!

lehi is a great city

We love living in Lehi! There are so many awesome activities constantly going on and to top it off we couldn't have picked a better ward. We have truly been blessed to find such a great place to start our family. Last Saturday we went to the Lehi parade with our neighbors Meghan and Dan and their adorable baby boy Adam. He is getting so big. He isn't even mine and I'm thinking "slow down!!!" Instead of watching most of  the parade :) I took pictures of Adam and caught up with the girls. It was a great way to start of the 4th of July festivities.

Don't you just love his hair and big blue eyes???

Easter

Easter was fabulous! Since the Conovers only have one grandbaby that is not able to walk yet, we all get to run around and act like children to find the eggs. This year we had confetti eggs and the rule was you have to smash them on someones head and you can steal an egg from them. It was SO much fun! I ended up getting a hand full of confetti in my mouth :). I love the family I married into, couldn't have made a better choice. Afterwards Val took some Easter pictures for everyone...isn't everyone so cute!!

We also celebrated Ryan's birthday and announced we were having twins. It was an exciting day! Happy Birthday Ryan We Love You!!

Glimpse of Our Christmas

We made gingerbread houses with our neighbors Dan and Meg and had lots of fun. We didn't know going into it that they are pro gingerbread makers so we had to step up our game a little so ours looked decent next to theirs. :) Next year we are going all out I decided and using graham crackers, making our own frosting and buying lots of fun candy.
Christmas eve party with the Conovers..
Christmas morning at my dads... Christmas is always better with kids.

Christmas night at our housie..I totally surprised him with that present.
We also started a new tradition this year that I saw from here.  I can wait to read them next year!
