Little Yellow Teapot

Hot chocolate mmm... One thing I love about winter is making hot chocolate in my cute yellow teapot. Although I love the winter I don't love that it has made me a hermit.I feel so lazy and unmotivated. Something needs to change  Step One sign up for a triathlon.Step two we are banning computer and TV from our house for a week. I feel like that is all we do sometimes so I hope by doing so we spend more quality time together and get out. I love being outside and I think I'm going crazy staying couped up inside. So hopefully this kicks my butt into gear.

Bedskirts and Blue Striped Sheets

I love this bed skirt. I just got a white duvet cover for Christmas and I think it would be so fun together. Why does everything have to be so expensive? Maybe I could make my own bed skirt! Can you tell I'm a little obsessed with this pea green color lately.
So since I probably won't buy this bed skirt since its like $180 bucks, should I just get white? Ruffled or not?
I'm also in love with these sheets!! I want them so bad. Aren't they so cute? Picture white duvet, blue striped sheets, mustard yellow pillow sounds perfect!
I think I'm getting a little to materialistic lately. Since I have started redoing our room and it is getting that much closer to being done I just want to finish buying everything, but in all honesty I have so much more to save up for. I just need to enjoy the monthly things I get to add to it. I need to go to do something charitable now I'm feeling greedy.

Sewing 101

I can't wait I signed up for a sewing class with my friend Meghan through UVSC. I'm really excited to start sewing more and making some of my own clothes!! With the help of my Mother in Law I was able to finish my first quilt this Christmas. ( I will post that in a week or so still have some finishing touches). It is so rewarding to accomplish something like that, I'm excited to start learning about how to sew my own clothes now!!

Really Saturday..

you're almost over?
I feel like I got hardly anything on my list accomplished and we didn't even have plans this weekend how did that happen?
So I have been attempting to decorate our house and holy cow is it hard. Not only do I have to figure out affordable ways to make our house cute, but I have to decide what I want to do with it. I have been focusing on our bedroom recently and can't decide if I want it vintagie looking, anthropologyish style, cottage style, chic. There are so many options out there I don't think I will ever be able to decorate an entire house there are to many decisions to make.  How do you guys do it? I could never be an interior designer I'm to indecisive.

Glimpse of Our Christmas

We made gingerbread houses with our neighbors Dan and Meg and had lots of fun. We didn't know going into it that they are pro gingerbread makers so we had to step up our game a little so ours looked decent next to theirs. :) Next year we are going all out I decided and using graham crackers, making our own frosting and buying lots of fun candy.
Christmas eve party with the Conovers..
Christmas morning at my dads... Christmas is always better with kids.

Christmas night at our housie..I totally surprised him with that present.
We also started a new tradition this year that I saw from here.  I can wait to read them next year!
