Our Housie

We bought a house!! Ever since we have moved back to Utah we have been looking for a house and we found "the one" in Lehi. We love it!! We closed on the second and this weekend was our first time sleeping in it. It was glorious and we got to sleep in our comfy bed again. I missed you bed. It is so fun having our own house. We have only ever been in one bedroom apartments so this is a big change for us. Not only do we love our house, but we love Lehi.  All the places we love eating and love shopping at are so close and we like being able to have a short drive to Provo and to Salt Lake. Our neighborhood is alot like a townhouse community except for the fact that the houses are not connected.  Our neighbors our really nice and we can't wait to get more settled and just be able to come home and relax. We already have plans for people to come visit us for the weekend and can't wait!! So if anyone else wants to come and hang out, go snowboarding or whatever vistors are always welcome.
Sorry there is only one picture I know many of you have been asking to see pictures, but the inside is still a mess at the moment and I have been extremely busy so those pictures will have to wait for a little while longer.

Help Bishop Sannar's family

A horrible thing happened in California yesterday. A Bishop was shot and killed after church on Sunday. "In the wake of this horrific tragedy is left behind Bishop Sannar’s loving wife Julie and six young sons, the eldest 14 years old, and the youngest an infant who was just blessed a week ago by his father during Sunday services." They are trying to raise 10,000 dollars for each son,so please donate something even if it is just a dollar.
I cannot imagine losing Greg and having six kids to take care of. My heart aches for this family. Please keep them in your prayers.
Here is the story and on the website is a link to the donation site if the button above doesn't work.

Valerie looks gorgeous, its hard to believe she just had a baby.  We love being an Aunt and Uncle and I love seeing Greg with his little nephew... he is going to be a great daddy.

Congratulations Val and Ryan!!!

Thanks for making us an Aunt and Uncle. We couldn't love him more.

Salt Lake City Here We Come

Greg accepted the job with Goldman Sachs so... we are moving to Utah the beginning of June!! I'm super excited, but sad at the same time. We have grown so much closer to my dads side of the family  and we have made some life long friends we really are going to miss.
We are excited though that we don't have to suffer through the 120 degree summer.
We plan  on Greg starting with Gold some time towards the beginning of June, buying a house, I'm going to work towards getting my SLPA license and taking a few photography classes.
We are excited for our new adventure.

Two Weeks Notice

Yesterday Greg put in his two weeks notice at US Airways. I'm definitely going to miss the flying benefits, but I'm more exicted for our new adventure.
In two weeks or so he will either start working at Vensure...with me or we will be moving to Salt Lake for him to work with Goldman Sachs.

Pray for Dylan

I don't know if you remember a few months ago my post titled "A Miracle". You can check it out here if you missed it. The accident ended up not only being a miracle, but a huge blessing in disguise. As a result of all the CAT scans they did to check for internal bleeding they found a tumor in Dilly's head, which probably would have stayed unnoticed if they hadn't gotten hit. The tumor is getting bigger and they are worried it could be cancerous.
Tomorrow she is getting surgery to remove it and there are tons of risks. We are so grateful for the accident and that the girls came out of it almost perfect, but there is still one more hurdle to jump over. Dylan will be in surgery for 12 hours tomorrow and in an induced coma another three days. I can definetly feel Heavenly Father watching over her. She is such a brave girl she told us that she is only scared about the IV. Please keep her in your prayers as she overcomes this trial.

Cortney + Chad

My sister in law is getting MARRIED!! I'm so excited for them. They got engaged last weekend and are getting married April 15, 2010. We are so happy for both of them. Chad is actually one of Greg's old roommates. We are so excited to have him join the family. Sadly I don't have a picture of the cute couple yet so that will have to wait. For the wedding I get to be a bridesmaid I'm super excited so I'm trying to find a cute new black dress or skirt/shirt. Anyone know where to look? I have looked at shabbyapple, downeast, shade, jcrew, anthropologie and can't really find anything I absolutely love...thats modest. Any ideas?

We can't wait for the spring so many exciting milestones....

A Miracle

Yesterday my two little cousins Addison 5 and Dylan 6 were hit by a car and survived with only a few cuts and bruises. They were crossing a street with their older sibilings to get to their bus stop and were hit by a minivan. We went to the hospital yesterday and they are doing amazing. It truly was a miracle. My cousin Addy went home that same day and just hopped out of her hospital bed like nothing. I am so grateful for miracles and the power of prayer. My Cousin Dilly was reading her Book of Mormon as she was crossing :) and that was the only thing that got under any tires. You can check out the news feed here.

Shailey's Baptism

My cousin SHAILEY got baptized on October 10, 2009. We are so proud of her and the big decision she has made. My grandma and great grandparents drove up from Pima, AZ. It had been a long time since we had seen them. It was wonderful to be with so many family members and participate in Shaileys baptism. This is definitely one reason we have LOVED LIVING in Arizona.

Here is the baptism girl and our GREAT Grandpa...

A majority of my Dads family were able to make it. There were FOUR GENERATIONS. Once Greg and I have kids we will make my great grandparents great great grandparents.
WE BETTER HURRY UP :)

Come On Over for Dinner

WE GOT A TABLE YAY!! Now we feel like we can actually invite people over. I love Craigslist I don't know how we could afford cute stuff if it wasn't for stocking craigslist. I'm considering painting it a different color and changing the fabric, for right now I'm just glad we have somewhere to eat instead of the couch.

Graduation and Moving

So Greg is officially done with school YIPPEE!! All of you who don't know he received his Bachelors degree in Business Finance. He was pretty depressed about graduating because he hadn't received a job yet, but the afternoon after he was done with all his finals he received the best call ever. US airways called him and offered him a job as a senior financial analyst. Oh my gosh it was the best feeling ever. I totally thought he was kidding when he told me. We were really hopeful that he would get this job but didn't really think it would happen. Fifteen people were up for the job and he got it.
Wow does Heavenly Father really answers prayers. I don't know how many times we have prayed to receive a job and our prayers were answered at the most perfect time. This has been one of the biggest testimony builders for me. If you truly believe Heavenly Father is watching out for you and constantly keep faith and trust him you will be so blessed. I think this is the best job Greg could have received and I remember getting so upset thinking why is he not getting hired, but come to find out the best job for Greg was going to come when it needed to.
I'm truly grateful for such a hard working husband. I could see myself getting so discouraged and giving up, but he kept going, working so hard to not only find his dream job, but provide for his family. He got discouraged a lot of times but never lost faith. So the job is in Phoenix, Arizona. We are going tomorrow to find a apartment and will be there until Wednesday. Once we sign all the papers hopefully we will know when Greg is going to have to go down there and we will start moving. I'm really excited for a change and moving forward in life, but I'm really sad we won't be close to as much family anymore and sad we have to leave all the friends we have made here. We love you guys and will miss you more than anything!!!

Laughs for Life

Greg has been able to be a part of a organization called laughs for life their purpose is to raise money for a charity called Tiny Tim and Friends that helps HIV + orphans in Zambia, Africa. To raise money they made a joke book and so far it has raised over 8,000. All that money goes straight to help the kids and pregnant women that are HIV+. With the money they are able to provide medicine, shelter, education and food for the kids and pregnant mothers. The medicine enables them to manage the virus so that it does not shorten their life span. Pregnant women as a result of taking the medicine do not pass the virus onto their unborn.
On April 14th to try and raise money and encourage people to buy the book they organized a night with Divine Comedy and Laugh out Loud, two BYU comedy groups. It was a ton of fun and was a for a great cause.
