Getting Into Business

So now that I have photography clients that are actually paying for my services I figure I should probably stop putting their Cd's in a Ziploc bag (I'm a little embarrassed to admit that) and maybe get something a little nicer and something I could use to spread the word of my business out. So lately I have been brain storming ideas for Cd cases and business cards. I pretty much have the idea I want to use in my head, but since I just  discovered the lovely pinterest site I thought I would browse for ideas and came across this...
I think it is so cute and clever. I would totally hire them to fix up my lawn. :)
I can't wait to get started!! Keep you posted.

I'm a little obsessed with pinterest

I love pinterest if you are not a member you have to join. My plan today was to check my email and look at new friends blog posts then go and clean my messy house, but I finally got my lovely pinterest invite in my inbox and have been pinning away ever since. Reasons I'm in love 1. I already had a million folders on my computer of home decor ideas, clothes I liked, etc, but now they are so much more organized and don't bog down my computer  2. When I need an idea for a certain room in my house I usually start googling first and always have to sift through so much crap to get to the cute pictures and ideas. Sometime I even put in home decor ideas + blogger in hopes that it will automatically feed out the not so in style stuff, but pinterest I have yet to have to sift through the junk to get to the goods. I'm in love!! I am in love with these Italy pictures....
I had never seen them before and they are a million times more amazing than any Italy picture I have found on google. :)

Baby Shower Invite

I finished the invites!! It took me what seemed like forever for me to decide what I was going to do. With enough Internet surfing from  here here and here  I was able to conjure up this....
They are not as cute as they were in my head :)...isn't that how it always works....but Meghan likes them so that's all the matters.
Supplies:
Kraft Paper
Bicycle Stamp
Ink
Fabric
Iron on Transfer Paper
Iron
Corner Rounder

They were fairly quick, cheap, and easy to make. The only difficulty I had was getting the "It's a boy!" to be mirrored so that when transferring it onto the flag it would be correct. Just a little tip you can mirror text on photoshop, but I didn't know how so I just googled a mirrored text generator and there are quite a few of them, but only one of them did it the correct way. If you are interested in doing something that needs mirrored text let me know and I'll try and find the site again.

Gathering Ideas

I'm throwing my first baby shower in March and I can hardly wait. I need  to get invitations made and out soon so I have been gathering ideas and I would love do this if it didn't cost a ton which I have a feeling it would. I saw it here. Maybe I could make a smaller version. Does anyone know any good sites for ideas?

Really Saturday..

you're almost over?
I feel like I got hardly anything on my list accomplished and we didn't even have plans this weekend how did that happen?
So I have been attempting to decorate our house and holy cow is it hard. Not only do I have to figure out affordable ways to make our house cute, but I have to decide what I want to do with it. I have been focusing on our bedroom recently and can't decide if I want it vintagie looking, anthropologyish style, cottage style, chic. There are so many options out there I don't think I will ever be able to decorate an entire house there are to many decisions to make.  How do you guys do it? I could never be an interior designer I'm to indecisive.

Beautiful Monday

Today has been a great day. Nothing particularly different or exciting happened, but I just had a new outlook on life. Yesterday Greg and I were able to go to a fireside that Jenny Phillips put on, if you don't know, she is a singer and song writer. It was amazing!! I felt the spirit so strongly and I think it totally changed... or I should say ... helped me remember why I am here. The theme of the night was Remember the Journey. The quote that stood out to me the most was
" The joy is in the journey, the joy is in becoming like him"
We all or should I say I ...get so distracted in having cute clothes, trying to be great at everything, caring what other people think of me, blogging :) but when it comes down to it all we need to be doing and worrying about is working to become more like our Savior and being able to return home. As I have been able to refocus, I feel so much happier.
As a result I had a beautiful Monday. I had dinner ready for my hungry husband when he came home from work and made this delicious cinnamon bread from mrs. harding cooks website. (click for recipe)
while listening to Mindy Gledhill's new song on repeat (my fav at the moment). I felt inspired, uplifted and so happy. I wish I always felt like this.
