opening presents

It was so much fun this year opening presents with the kiddies. With a little help they opened them, usually with a concerned face like what is going on. As soon as the gift was opened though the smiles came out and they got excited for their new toy. They sure got spoiled. I think each year is going to get better and better. I'm looking forward to the year they come down stairs and see that Santa ate the cookies they made for him and the reindeer ate the carrots...oh kids are the best.

This week as also been so easy to entertain them since they have so many new toys. They don't get bored nearly as easy. I think it is time to start trading toys every other week so it is like Christmas all year round.

first snow experience

...was a fail. I guess they are still a little to young, sadly. Just glad I didn't invest in snow gear for them yet, we borrowed from the neighbor boys.

TIIIIIMBERRRR! Bringing his sister down with him.

They stepped right out of the Christmas Story. Poor things were so frustrated they couldn't move. I sure got a kick out of it, does that make me a mean mom? I though it was so funny. I can't be that mean we were only out there for like two seconds it felt like. And it took like twenty minutes just to get them dressed!

Needless to say we won't be playing in the snow with the kiddies until next winter, maybe even two more winters. For now we will just admire its beauty from inside. I might just have to go out by myself and make a snowman when the kids are sleeping.

merry christmas

I saw this on one of my favorite blogs, ashley ann photography, and had to share. Makes me smile :)

We had such a wonderful Christmas surrounded by loved ones. Christmas always makes me feel the urge to go out and serve more because I feel such an overwhelming flow of love and blessings. I feel like what I have contributed and what I have received in return is not even close to even. I'm so grateful to have such amazing people in my life. Especially my two, soon to be three little munchkins and wonderful husband. I'm so grateful for my life, for the saviors birth and the knowledge I have of the gospel.

Hope you have felt loved this Christmas season.
Merry Christmas for us to you!

Getting the urge to start making stuff and/or buying things for my new baby girl already. I'm sure Alta and Jayden will benefit from the nesting as well. Toddler/playroom ideas are accumulating in my brain. So excited!!

we have a walker

My baby girl started walking on 12/12/12. She has been standing by herself for a while now and would take a step her and there, but on Tuesday she just got a little more daring and decided to go for it. Now after a week she hardly ever crawls. It is so cute! I love how happy it makes her.
As for Jayden, he is my master crawler. :) I think he will be a few weeks behind her. Poor little guy though I think is a tad jealous, especially of the excitement Alta got out of me. He started crying after I got excited a few times for Alta. I realize the above picture is blurry but this is totally what has been happening lately. I'm getting excited about Alta walking and Jayden is in the background looking at me and sometimes crying like "hey mom what about me?"Once I decided I was going to take a picture of Jayden he got all excited.
Jayden likes to follow Alta around, he is a little faster now though and likes to head butt her while she is walking which makes her fall over and start crying. When she hears him sometimes behind her she either gets excited or scared and starts trying to walk faster until either Jayden knocks her over or she can't keep up and falls.

Original video and after a week. Excuse my high pitched overly excited voice.

I was a mean mom. I made my kids see Santa twice in one day and Jayden cried both times. Saturday morning we went to a ward breakfast and it was way past nap time so I was positive that is why he cried, but it turns out he just doesn't like Santa. At least we got a picture of Jayden crying with a more believable looking Santa. It was worth it in the end :). Jayden might not agree though. Dad made sure to make him happy afterwards.

my little mama's boy

Growing up I always dreamt of a house full of little girls. Maybe cause I mostly grew up with all girls that is what I was used too, but man am I so glad I was blessed with this little boy. Uh I just love the big blue eyes, the shaggy hair, that cheesy smile, those six little teeth, and the fact that he is such a good little cuddler. Since the day he was born we have had this unspoken bond. He was my weak baby and so as a result  I babied him a little more than Alta. I think it is safe to say he has become a mama's boy and I love it. I love my boy!

week 22

Baby girl I can't believe you are only 4.5 months away from being in our arms. We are so excited to meet you and join our little family. You are constantly moving. I feel like Alta and Jayden didn't move as much, probably because you have lots more room. Alta and Jayden love playing with you. Whenever I pull up my shirt to show them my belly they stop what they are doing and both start crawling towards me to squeeze, hit and poke you. I'm so excited for the years to come and watch you all play together. We love you!!

Week 22 with Alta and Jayden

another little alta on the way

Sadly I'm falling victim of the second, in my case pregnancy syndrome. I'm already 22 weeks pregnant and haven't documented a thing. I have ambitions of getting better from here on out. I don't want my baby to search for pictures of when I was  pregnant with her and she not find any. So this is me taking a step in that direction.

As of December 11th I am 22 weeks and we found out we are expecting a baby GIRL!!! Alta and I are so excited to have the girls rule the house :). We sure love our boys though. I'll be honest I was a little freaked out for my sanity and my capabilities as a mother of having three kids UNDER 2! But luckily we are pregnant for nine months and I have had time to really gain peace that everything is going to be great. I'm sure we will not be doing much at first, but I think as soon as we are ready to venture out as three against one it will be getting warm and everything will be perfect. I couldn't be more excited to hold that baby girl in my arms and let her brother and sister love on her. I'm excited to be a family of five. My dreams are all coming true and I'm starting to honestly believe I will still be sane after it all.
