seven months

Seven months! Where did the time go! These guys get cuter and cuter to me everyday. Prepare for picture overload. I couldn't decide on just one or two.....or three or four. 

                                             

Jayden, this month you have learned how to do so many new things. You can now roll onto your tummy. You had done it a couple time when you were six months but now you are rarely on your back. Also you are becoming a pro at sitting up all by yourself. I still put the boppy around you just in case. You got your first haircut the other day. It was getting pretty long on the top so I chopped some of it off. You love to suck on practically everything, your thumb, your big toe :), blankets, your clothes, Alta's toes and fingers, whatever you can get your hands on. You are very ticklish. You are getting good at eating, but you aren't really into it. The only thing you have tried and had no complaints about so far is sweet potatoes. When you are done eating you usually vibrate your lips together (see above picture) and get food all over me! Definitely not my favorite, but it is pretty cute. I have heard you say baba and mama, but nothing really consistent yet. You definitely love your sister. When she cries you always look so concerned. If you have been crying you stop and if you are close enough to her you put your arm out to touch her. I love you a ton!! xoxo

         


Sweet Alta, you are just one content little baby. Everyone is so amazed that you can just sit and chill. The other day you were just laying on your Uncle Chads lap just hanging out, it was pretty cute! I think partly though why you were so happy is because he was secretly feeding you marshmallow fluff. You are definitely my little eater. You will eat anything I give you and you will eat it until I stop you :). You are chubby like I was when I was a baby, a lot cuter though. I keep feeding Jayden after you are done cause you are a fast eater, again like your mama, and you still open your mouth for a bite. Sadly you and Jayden just got over a bad sinus infection. It was no fun seeing you so sick. One night you woke up crying so your daddy brought you into bed with us and you were talking in your sleep. It was so cute!! When we went to the doctor to get your antibiotics for your infection the doctor told us you had gained two pounds in a month. You are growing strong and big which makes us happy. You and Jayden are starting to really acknowledge each other you kind of babble back and forth sometimes and I have caught you smiling and squealing at each other several times. You are getting good at sitting, but are still a little wobbly. You aren't very ticklish like your brother, you mostly laugh when we are being goofy. Love you more everyday! xoxo

grandmas are the best

Memorial weekend was far too short, but GREAT! My mom and her man, Mark flew in Thursday night and left Monday afternoon. We showed Mark the sights, enjoyed the outdoors, and soaked up lots of cuddles and kisses from Grandma. Sad they are already gone, but luckily this time we don't have to wait as long to see her again. Only five more weeks yay! Already counting down. 

                

confessions

Mondays are the hardest day for me to feel motivated. Lets just say today me and babies didn't get dressed and ready for the day until 2:30. Aaaand I didn't get out of bed until 10:00... only to feed babies. I was a bad mom today.

I dream of going to Venice one day with my hubby.

I have a million projects I want to do and although I complain sometimes that I don't have enough time half the time it is because my motivation is on empty.

I'm sick of my hair. I don't want to dye it because that gets pricey having to keep it up, but I don't want to cut it because every time I do I regret it and my hair takes FOREVER to grow back.

I envy people that can write good. I have tons of thoughts and always think "I should blog about that", but when I go sit at my computer and start writing I think "this sounds dumb" and delete it. I am the worst too, at spelling and punctuation (I had to think about that "too" and decide if it needed two o's or one and still don't even know if I got it right :)  so please don't pay to close attention when I write.

I miss my mom terribly. There are so many days I wish I could just hop in a car and go visit her.

I have tried multiple times to stop drinking Diet Coke, but honestly I don't want to stop drinking it. It is so good and some days you just need a Diet Coke and a holiday Reese's to cheer you up.

I am very OCD. When I would visit my dad in the summer and then come back home I could tell if someone had moved something out of it's place, in my room. Obsess much! I have gotten a little bit better, I think but not much.

I want to be a part time photographer. At the moment I am more of a once a month photographer. But now that I have this mom thing down a little better I am slowly working on getting my website presentable. I love making people smile and capturing those special moments, but sometimes get discouraged and think there are so many better photographers out there I should probably just stick to being a full time mom. But now thinking about it, that can be discouraging as well sometimes and I'm not quitting that.

I love being in the pool and can't wait to spend the majority of my summer there this year with babies!

dreaming of new clothes

My birthday couldn't come any sooner. I am craving some new clothes so bad. I am loving all the bright colors that are in style now and want them to come cheer up my closest. 

On my list to find...

1. Neon pink something. I have never liked the color Neon pink but as of recently I'm a little obsessed with having a piece in my wardrobe.

2. Peter pan shirt. 

3. Lace shirt. 

4. Bright colored pencil skirt. 

5. Shirt with a loose tie in the front. 

6. Mint skinny jeans. 

BOTH babies have been sleeping for two hours!! I better go make sure they are still breathing. 

six months

It may not look like I'm making improvements on making a little time for blogging, but it is happening. This is a record for me to get their monthly update up within a week of their actual monthaversary. Maybe the rest of the month I'll actually make time to sit down and post about something else. Greg is about half way done with is GMAT class which makes me happy. Honestly though it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be to have him away from home so much. I just kept myself busy and in fact got a lot of stuff done cause a big chunk of cuddle time was taken out of my schedule. Which probably contributed to the fact that I am so on top of blogging. So here is the usual :) 

 

     

Alta baby, you are so happy these days. As long as you are not hungry you are so smiley. We absolutely love it!! You love to be outside of the house. You are so enthralled with what is happening around you. As long as you are out and about you can skip your naps and you are still so content. Once you are tired enough you will just fall asleep where ever, in your car seat, in Mama's arms ( my favorite) or on Daddy's lap. This past month you have started to talk a ton. One day I feel like you just realized you had a little voice and now you are constantly babbling. We don't swaddle you anymore for bed time because you have learned to roll from your back to your tummy. Recently we have found you sleeping on your tummy and it the cutest thing ever. You love playing in the exer saucer. When Jayden is in it you look at him in envy and as soon as I switch you guys he does the same :). You can sit up with help. You have started eating oatmeal which you love. After I give you your first bite you get this huge smile on your face with a mouth full of oatmeal. Love you baby girl! xoxo

Jaydster, you look so grown up. I swear you guys get cuter and cuter every day. I can't handle it. I just want a little nibble of those cute cheeks all the time. Luckily when I do get one you think it is pretty funny. You are quite the opposite of Alta :). You love to be home, you are our little homebody. You are generally happy when we go out, but there is a big difference when we get home. I think has partly to do with the fact that you love your naps. You sleep a lot more than Alta during the day. You have started to sit up with help. The other day I had you in my lap and it was pretty cute you would have your face practically between your legs and then all of a sudden shoot up, doing some sit ups. You love playing in the exer saucer. When you are tired and getting fussy we go lay you down in your crib and all of a sudden you get a huge smile on your face and do a little happy dance, wiggle. Like I said you love your naps. You love grabbing your toes and do it constantly now. You sometimes suck your thumb. You aren't much of a binkie baby. You like it every once in a while, but usually just play with it when you have it. Lately you have been biting on it while pulling it out of your mouth so it makes a little pop sound. You have started eating oatmeal and will eat it ,but always seem a little disgusted by it :). You LOVE having your face covered. When we lay you in your crib we give you your little lion that you use to cover your face with and sometimes when you are eating a bottle you cover your eyes with your hand. Love you baby boy! xoxo

five months

Now that my babies are almost six months old I figured I should try and hurry and post this so that I'm caught up for a week at least :).Being a mother is exactly what everyone says " The hardest thing you will ever do, but the most rewarding." This weekend was definitely a rewarding weekend and it recharged me for what is to come this month. Greg is studying for the GMAT which he hopes to take this summer. He just signed up for a class for the month of May that is about eight hours a week :( so we will be dadless this month for the most part. I am really wishing the outdoor pools were already open. But on a happier note the end of may means Greg should be almost done studying, pools are opening, and GRANDMA is visiting us for memorial day weekend. I'm estatic!!!

Oh how I love these little people. I still can't believe I'm a mom sometimes, but I don't even remember life without them. They make me cry sometimes, they make me want to scream sometimes, but the laughs and the smiles I get in return erase all of those hard moments.

Hey my little man you are getting so big I can't believe it. I can't wait for you to start talking and walking, but I'm so not ready for you to stop being so little. Everyone always comments on your hair and how cute it is, you are already catching the ladies eyes :). When I go get you from your crib you aren't crying like you use to be, you just make little noises saying " hey mom I'm up, come get me" and when I go and peek over the crib you get the biggest smile on your face and you do this little jiggle with your head in excitement or kick your legs. You have learned that playing peekaboo is fun. You love being changed you always get a huge smile on your face like we are tickling you or something. You have started playing more with toys and splashing around in the tub. You and Alta love holding hands and you often play with her ear. The other day you were singing Tarzan boy with your Daddy it was super cute. You are a little snorer. Your daddy loves singing Blue Shadow to you when he puts you to sleep.

Baby girl oh how I love you. You are getting so big! You and Jayden are starting to interact a lot more. You smiled at eachother the other day it was adorable. You don't really lay on your back anymore you love arching your head back and playing on your side. Daddy and I can't get over your gorgeous eyes and eyelashes. You definetly steal the spotlight when you are in the room. You are starting to talk more and we absolutely love your little voice. You are a little cuddler, but on your own terms. You are starting to play more with toys and are a little obsessed with splashing in the bathtub. As soon as I lay you down in the tub your little legs go crazy. You enjoy playing peekaboo. And I think my favorite thing of all times is when I go and pick you up from bed you get this huge smile or more like just open your mouth as wide as you can :). Makes me so happy that you're that excited to see ME. Sure makes me feel loved.  Your daddy loves singing Butterfly kisses and I loved her first to you. I have a feeling you are a daddys girl, you get the biggest smile when he gets home.

four months

Oh my goodness baby girl you are gorgeous! I can't get enough of you. I think I probably tell your dad how cute I think you are every day. You are growing up so fast. You are a lot more awake now, which gives us more play time. You discovered your hands, you can sit and stare at them forever. You move your fingers and twirl your hand around. If your binkie doesn't fall far from your mouth you grab it and try and stick it back in your mouth it is so cute. You laughed for the first time on February 22. It was one of my favorite days ever and what makes it even better was I made you laugh :). You don't laugh very often yet, but when you do everyone rushes to watch. You can now roll from your tummy to your back. I love you baby girl more than you will ever know.  xoxo

Oh sweet boy.. I love all your many faces, they all give me a huge smile. You are getting so big. When you guys were born you were 10 oz smaller than Alta and now you are 9 oz bigger. I am so glad you are getting chubby. We were so worried about you when you were born and you have grown and come so far since then. You are a lot more awake now and I feel like you learn something new everyday. You laughed for the first time this month and it makes me so happy seeing my little boy so happy. If I feel like I'm having a hard day or I have been a bad mom seeing you or Alta smile and laugh makes me feel like I'm doing something right. You learned how to roll from your tummy to your back. You don't mind sucking on your binkie, but since it falls out a lot you resort to sucking on your hands. You often gag yourself with your fingers. I love you my little stud muffin. xoxo

three months

Alta you are such a happy little baby - We can always get a smile out of you - You love sitting up and standing up with my help - When you are sad you stick out your lower lip, it is probably the cutest thing ever - You are starting to talk lots - One of your favorite things is bath time - You spit up a ton which we are hoping stops soon - You sleep at least eight hours at night already, everyone is so amazed.

Jaydster I think you are the cutest little boy I have ever seen - Your hair has gotten long enough on the top, I can give you a little mohawk :) - You have started holding your bottle. You aren't very good at it yet, but you always help mommy - You love sucking on your hands - You are becoming a little talker - Recently you have started noticing Alta. You mostly just sit and stare at her play,but the other day I caught you smiling at her, so cute. I can already tell you are going to be a good brother. She is one lucky little girl to have you by her side.

easter

Hope you all enjoyed your Easter!! We enjoyed going to church and spending the night with Greg's fam...having an Easter egg hunt :), yep the adults hunt for the eggs. Check out last years Easter when we hid the announcement that we were having twins in the eggs. Life has definitely changed since then and we love it!! 

two little blessings

J & A were blessed on January 29. It was a great day! My mom was able to come back into town and it was WONDERFUL. All weekend we were getting ready for sunday. We made a TON of treaties a lot of them ended up in our mouths before sunday :) Cuddled with babies and just enjoyed having Grandma in town. Hopefully soon we won't be so far away.
